Facebook Posts
From practically the moment I learned that George was hurt I started putting updates on Facebook. My good friend Cathy Hendrix started a page called “George Maddox, Heart Full of Soul.” (The song title refers to “our song,” a song he learned to play and sing to me when we reunited after a 15 year breakup.)
I’ve included the post just before he died, and the ones I wrote immediately after his death, as the previous ones are just too painful to revisit, since I thought for two weeks that he would survive.
