Got together with friends over guitars at the local BBQ last night, several were friends of George. He is woven into so many of our favorite "back in the day" stories, so his name comes up a lot. Rick was there, wish I could have been at the memorial svc in ATL to hear him play Heart Full of Soul. I think George will always be present when this kind of group gets together and plays. You look over your shoulder between songs and expect to see him on the other side of the bandstand with a smirk on his face and a guitar in his hand.

Talked to Sonil today, Doug. He considered the visit to the site a gesture of honoring George. His son had a little speech planned about seeing the slideshow of George and meeting Lily, but once they got there he was too emotional. They are suffering.

Lisa - I cannot imagine how difficult that would be for you to watch. I'm sure it brings back emotions that many of us have yet to experience. Our family continues to pray for you and Lily every day.

OH, LISA.
My fingers are hovering over the keyboard just as they have dozens of times since this all began...where are the words to express my feelings?
How can you know the love and mercy so many feel for you + Sara + Lily....
After I was brought out of my 10 day Rx induced coma, the ENTIRE ER shift of RNs came to see me right before their shift started.
I will never forget the image of them crowded around my bed crying (+ laughing--we must continue to laugh--that's how I get through "life")...This was Poughkeepsie, NY and they all thought i had an accent--everybody KNOWS midwesterners have no accent...that's the way "broadcast school" teaches student to talk..
I am glad you were able to speak to the para-medics; and I have often wondered @ "the other pilot"...
What a burden he will carry the rest of his life.
Many times I have tried to write you---and I know at least 100 other people must go through the same drill: what to say + how do I say it?
So let me just say you are loved and in our thoughts and hearts--ESPECIALLY during the silent moments...
Something good will come out of this--we just don't know what it is yet.
W/ LOVE L-U-V,
Margaret
