Well, I kept my feeling of good will most of the day. I had an appointment and I got there on time and was reasonably articulate.
I went to the bank, which involved a bunch of paperwork. Then Sara and I went to the store.
I was starting to flag, but not too badly, when she came up with a strange look on her face. “Your sweater is on INSIDE OUT,” she said. Sheesh. So much for having it together. Yes, I had a bright purple sweater on and it was inside out. Big tag in the back.
Damn.
There’s always tomorrow!

Lisa, don’t worry about your sweater being on inside out, backwards or whatever. That’s happened to me before and I didn’t have the stuff going on that you do. As for routine with Lily. It’s important…sort of. What I mean is, they find comfort in knowing what they can expect. Routine and structure are good, positive things. It is comforting. But don’t confuse that with rigidity. So what if things are a little off kilter every now and then? So what if the routine goes out the door? Just try and do what’s in front of you to do…get up, brush teeth, wash face, brush hair, put on deodorant, hug and kiss. Some days that plenty and the best thing you can do anyway. You’re moving forward more than you’re moving backwards and that is a good thing *thank you Martha Stewart!!!
OH MY GOD I DID NOT NOTICE THAT!!! but i’m laughing (hope you aren’t offended at that) at the thought of you being the in middle of a store with your sweater on inside out. oh well, who cares? there are more important things to worry about. at least you had on your cute poncho!
hope you got a laugh out of it! <3
I did. Sort of. Hee hee!
I have worn a sweater inside out, and walked around all day with my zipper down. My friend Cathy, is an atty. works downtown (MD), spent the entire day working, then afternoon running errands downtown. About 4 PM, a female stranger tells her that her dress is hiked “way up” in the back. She realizes she has been traipsing her ass all over town! All she could do was post the incident on FB and have a TERMENDOUS HOOT! Make yourself smile everyday. I read that even fake smiles can trick our minds into thinking, we are having a “good day”.
